Why Treat Cataracts Early?

A cataract is the progressive clouding of the eye's natural lens. If left untreated, it can lead to total vision loss. Modern surgery is now a standard, safe "day-care" procedure that restores vision in under 20 minutes.

Phacoemulsification
(Micro-Surgery)

At Revive Nursing Home, we use the "Phaco" technique—the gold standard in cataract removal. An ultrasonic probe breaks up the cataract through a tiny incision, which is then replaced with a foldable artificial lens.

This "stitchless" approach means faster healing, minimal discomfort, and an almost immediate return to daily activities.

  • No injections, no stitches, no bandages required
  • Foldable IOLs (Monofocal, Multifocal, Toric)
  • Cold Phaco technology for faster corneal recovery
  • Minimal downtime — resume light work in 48 hours
  • Dedicated pre-operative "Biometry" for lens power
  • Post-operative counseling and kit provided

Premium IOL Options

The artificial lens (IOL) you choose defines how you see the world after surgery. We offer top-tier Indian and Imported lenses.

🎯
Standard

Monofocal Lenses

Optimized for one distance (usually far vision). Most patients experience excellent clarity for driving or TV, but may still require reading glasses for close-up work.

📐
Advanced

Toric Lenses

Specially designed for patients with Astigmatism. These lenses correct the irregular shape of the cornea during cataract surgery, providing sharp vision without cylinders.

♾️
Premium

Multifocal / Trifocal

The ultimate lifestyle choice. These lenses provide clear vision at all distances — near, intermediate, and far — often eliminating the need for glasses entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the surgery take?
The actual surgical procedure usually takes only 15 to 20 minutes per eye. Including pre-op preparation and post-op observation, you should plan to spend about 2-3 hours at the nursing home.
Is the surgery painful?
Not at all. We use anesthetic eye drops to numb the eye completely. You might feel a slight sensation of pressure or water, but no pain. Post-surgery, any mild scratchiness is easily managed with drops.
Can I get surgery on both eyes at the same time?
Standard clinical practice is to operate on one eye at a time, usually with a gap of 3 to 7 days between eyes. This ensures one eye is functional while the other heals.
